About Dr. Green

Barbara Green, M.D. is a neurologist and MS specialist who has recently joined the medical team at the MS Center for Innovations in Care at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. She was previously the founder of the MS Center of St. Louis where she then served as Medical Director for 17 years, designing and expanding a new model of multi-specialty care for 2500 patients with MS and related diseases. Dr. Green also served on the faculty of the Department of Neurosciences at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center throughout her 25 year tenure there.

Dr. Green is a graduate of Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. She received her residency training in neurology at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital. Following a 15 year general neurology practice, she developed a specialty in multiple sclerosis which became her passion and her mission and inspired the creation of the MS Center. Dr. Green served as chair of the clinical advisory committee of the National MS Society for 15 years, during which time she was also a trustee of the NMSS board. She also served on both the national medical advisory board and the national clinical advisory committee of NMSS for a 4 year term.

Dr. Green has participated as a clinical investigator in multiple MS clinical research trials. She lectures widely to both lay and professional audiences regarding multiple sclerosis and its management.
